At UKGRS we take every aspect of road safety seriously. Statistics tell us that in 2016 there were 1981 casualties, including 8 deaths, amongst children who were cycling in the UK*. We feel, that as one of the leading road safety providers in the UK, it is important that we play our part in addressing this issue. This online programme is designed to teach the children of years 5 & 6 about cycling safely, which the child completes in their own time, at their own pace at home.
A video of a woman receiving a driver's license went viral ahead of Saudi Arabia lifting its ban on women driving. Reports also say that some jailed women's driving activists have been temporarily released. Saudi Arabia's General Saeed bin Abdullah Al-Qahtani, assistant minister of interior for operations affairs, has said everything is ready for women to begin driving from June 24, adding that all women who can drive will be eligible to drive
From today (4 June 2018), learner drivers can take motorway driving lessons in a law change intended to improve road safety. Any motorway lessons learner drivers take will be voluntary and must be with an approved driving instructor in a car with dual-controls displaying L plates. However, motorway driving is not being added to the driving test as part of this change, and the change in law does not apply to learner motorcyclists. The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA)
