Following recent tragic incidents involving minibuses we have been asked by a number of clients to provide the MiDAS 5 Steps to Safety (Fire & Evacuation) and Passenger Assistant programmes.

Fire & Evacuation uses classroom based and practical training to teach practical skills on how to deal with vehicle fires and safely evacuate passengers using 5 steps to safety. The 5 Steps to Safety course is suitable for both drivers and any adults that travel as an assistant to passengers, up to 24 people can attend per day.

The Passenger Assistant Training Scheme provides a nationally recognised standard for Passenger Assistants those whose role it is to provide care and assistance to passengers travelling in passenger carrying vehicles.

The PATs training is available to anyone who has care or supervision responsibilities of passengers travelling by road in minibuses, cars, MPV’s, taxis, or large buses. This is a modular programme that suits all needs.
