UK Global Road Safety launch new Passenger Awareness Programme

This month UKGRS have launched their Passenger Awareness Programme aimed at drivers that transport members of the public, people in their care and those they have a responsibility towards.

In this half-day session participants will learn how to interact verbally and physically with their passengers.

Aimed primarily at the taxi market, the programme covers the type of language a driver should and should not use, how to correctly assist passengers with a range of physical disabilities, how to interact with people that may have a mental illness along with their legal obligations towards passengers with a disability and their assistance dogs.

The course is run with up to 8 participants on each of the morning and afternoon sessions, which means that drivers are not taken away from their primary work for longer than is necessary.

UKGRS team can easily develop and adapted this programme to suit an organisations specific needs, for further information on this programme or to book a course please call us on 01452 347332
